I am writing this as I have been asked on numerous occasions about my interest in computers and how I started building website's. As a lot of people know me as a Textile Artist or Tutor.

Well yes, I do tutor both textile art and all aspects of computer skills within the Adult Education sector and on a freelance basis. I have always had an interest in computers and had one ever since the first home computer became available over 20 years ago. I have continually upgraded as newer ones became available. I then worked for many years within the library service and it was at a time when the World Wide Web and the Internet was first introduced first to library staff and then to the public. It totally fascinated me and I learnt very quickly and went on every course offered to me. Over time the library offered teaching to the public to access this new world!! and it was me that taught it, as I had such a passion for it.

Using it so extensively at work when doing library research work I got extremely frustrated when various links would not work or pages would not load. Working as I did at the time I was using the Internet daily and was forever coming up against these problems. I then wanted to learn how the text etc. was adapted from general word documents to the Internet which then took me on another journey of learning and exploration. To where I am today. I still teach as above but am also offering my services to build website's. I feel my textile art skills also very much help in the design process of website's.
